Faces of the St. Francis House

Through July 29, Shands Arts in Medicine will play host to “Faces of the St. Francis House,” an exhibition of paintings and drawings created by four Gainesville artists: Jane Polkowski Levy, Marley Plomer, Steven Huss and Adria Klausner. The artwork — portraits of St. Francis House residents — will be on display in the Criser Cancer Resource Center in the Shands Cancer Hospital. “There is no beauty in homelessness,” Plomer says. “But I can always find the beauty in the face of a person who is homeless.” Artwork courtesy of Paintings by Jane.
