Tobacco-free, forever

Want to help your patients become tobacco-free? The UF Area Health Education Centers program is holding a tobacco education symposium geared toward health professionals from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 1. The event will feature speakers from UF and the Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute. Topics will include effective brief tobacco interventions, pharmacotherapy, alternative forms of tobacco, oral health, motivational interviewing, provider reimbursement and more. The event will be held at the Hilton University of Florida Conference Center in Gainesville.  Registration is $40. For more information or to register, call 386-462-1551.
