A reason to chomp

On July 13, the College of Dentistry’s Mighty Molar took some time out of his busy schedule to attend an impromptu event to congratulate the D.M.D. Class of 2014 for achieving a 100 percent first-time pass rate on their National Board Dental Exam Part I.

“This is quite an accomplishment. We are very proud of the students, and I truly appreciate the hard work of the faculty who support our students in their dental education,” said Teresa A. Dolan, D.D.S., M.P.H., professor and dean of the college.

Congratulations are also in order for the most recent group of graduates from the UF College of Nursing for receiving a 98 percent pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination exam. These examinations are designed to test the knowledge, skills and abilities essential to the safe and effective practice of entry-level nursing and are required for licensure by each state’s board of nursing. UF has continually received one of the highest pass rates in Florida.
