UF Health has partnered with Healogics, the biggest provider of advanced wound care in the country, to offer a brand new outpatient wound care and hyperbaric center. The new UF Health Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center at Magnolia Park opened Feb. 17. The treatment team, led by John Caroline, M.D., will bring treatment and protocols to people in the local community with chronic wounds. Healogics specializes in healing chronic wounds that have not healed within 30 days. The company has 500 wound care centers across the nation and treats 200,000 patients each year.
