These four apps will help you stay heart-healthy this year.

Livestrong Calorie Tracker LITE

Devices: iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch

Cost: Free

Keeping track of what you eat just got a little bit easier. Calorie Tracker helps you log what you’ve eaten and the total amount of calories consumed. You can enter in your goal amount for the day, and Calorie Tracker will tell you how many calories you have remaining. This app can also remind you if you drank enough water or burned calories through exercise. You can easily scan bar codes to log food items or search through their massive database.

 

iBP Blood Pressure

Devices: iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Android

Cost: $0.99

If you’ve been told to keep an eye on your blood pressure, this app can help you track your results. Once you insert your data, iBP will analyze your findings and inform you if your blood pressure is normal, high or indicative of hypertension. The graphs display lows, highs and averages by week, month, year and time of day. This app will help you organize your data and make it easier to share with your doctor.

 

Glucose Buddy

Devices: iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Android

Cost: Free

If you have diabetes, Glucose Buddy can help you keep track of your glucose data. Users can enter their glucose numbers, carbs consumed, insulin dosages and exercise. All of the information logs will analyze the data and produce a graph displaying the highs and lows of your glucose levels. The app can also send you reminders to check your glucose levels or administer insulin.

 

Johnson & Johnson Official 7 Minute Workout

Devices: iPhone, iPad, Android

Cost: Free

Don’t have time to go to the gym? Try out one of the seven-minute workouts this app offers. Users can choose from more than 1,000 different workouts at 20 different intensity levels. It will even allow you to access and control your entire iTunes library from the app. Johnson & Johnson’s app is designed for all fitness levels and allows you to create custom workouts.
