Almost there …

If you work or have classes in the Communicore Building, chances are you’ve grown a little tired of the meandering detour around the building and the clanking of construction. The good news? By the time you read this, the normal entrance to the Communicore should be open for business. The even better news? The rest of the additions to the Sun Terrace won’t be too far behind, said project manager Cydney McGlothlin. The new Starbucks and Panda Express, which will be located by the entrance to the Communicore, will be open in March after spring break. A Freshens and Croutons are being added to the building that now houses Einsten Bros. and Chick Fil A, with construction set to be complete in June. Construction crews should have the other finishing touches to the terrace finished by June, too, including installing fabric sails overhead to help keep faculty, staff and students dry as they walk from the Founder’s Gallery to the Communicore Building. — April Frawley Birdwell
