This registry rocks

April is National Donate Life Month, a time when the organ and tissue donation community emphasizes its promotion of donor education and the importance of joining the donor registry. Last year, Shands at UF and Shands Jacksonville launched a friendly Donate Life Month competition to determine which campus could enroll more people on Florida’s organ donor registry. Shands Jacksonville dominated with 112 registrations to Shands at UF’s 63 registrations. The competition is on again for 2012, and both campuses are ready to ‘Rock the Registry.’ All UF and Shands employees are encouraged to become lifesaving organ, tissue and eye donors by enrolling in Florida’s donor registry.
