The College of Public Health and Health Professions will host the PHHP Morrill Act Celebration Seminar on Friday, Feb. 15 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the HPNP Complex, Room G101. The seminar features Pamela Blackmon, M.P.H., health officer and administrator of the Suwannee and Lafayette County Health Departments, speaking on “The Three ‘Rs’ of Rural Public Health” and Gail Bellamy, Ph.D., a professor and director of the Center for Rural Health Research and Policy at Florida State University, speaking on “Rural Health and Land Grant Colleges: The Continuing Legacy of the Morrill and Smith-Lever Acts.” The seminar is free and open to the public.
