The benefits of being green

Platinum congrats are in order. The UF Research and Academic Center at Lake Nona has been awarded Platinum status from Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, or LEED. Platinum is the highest rating LEED gives and signifies that the UF facility at Lake Nona is a green building and meets the highest standards for energy efficiency. The $53 million, 106,000-square-foot facility opened in November.
