Be a security superhero

Just like protecting our patients and ourselves against the flu and other infectious diseases, we need to take precautions to protect the information we manage against computer viruses, hackers and other security threats. In the last few years, UF Health and other organizations have suffered information and data breaches. These can be prevented if everyone protects their computers and mobile devices — including personal devices.

Mask your mobile devices:
• Set up your device to lock after 15 minutes (or less)
of inactivity, requiring a password.
• Treat your mobile device like your house or car:
Lock it when away from it.
• Be careful when connecting to a WiFi network
outside the UF Health network or any publicly
available WiFi.

Call UF Health IT if you see anything suspicious: 352-265-0526.
