Honoring Black History Month
UF Health celebrated Black History Month recently in the UF Health Shands Hospital Atrium. Organized by the UF Health Shands Diversity Ambassadors, the annual event offered cultural and historical education about African Americans’ successes and scholarship and included music, dance, performances and a keynote speaker. Here, a UF Health Shands employee and a representative from Friends of the Library serving the Alachua County Library District embrace over a collection of books highlighting black history.
