UF College of Medicine faculty, alumni and students celebrate 60 years of teaching and healing

The Gainesville band Swing Theory, led by singer Becky Sinn, set the musical tone for the evening.
Michael Good, M.D., dean of the UF College of Medicine, told guests that the college usually looks forward but on this night, he invited everyone to look back at the school’s history of innovation.
Heather Harrell, M.D., FACP, granddaughter of George Harrell, M.D., the founding dean of the College of Medicine, spoke during the event held in the George T. Harrell, M.D., Medical Education Building.
David S. Guzick, M.D., Ph.D., senior vice president for health affairs at the University of Florida and president of UF Health, thanked guests for helping to celebrate the UF College of Medicine’s 60-year milestone.
