More than 350 people attended the UF Health Cancer Center Research Day 2016 on Nov. 3 at the George T. Harrell, M.D., Medical Education Building to review 120 posters presented by graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and junior faculty. The guests enjoyed live music and hors d’oeuvres as well as presentations by the inaugural Dissertation Award winners, five predoctoral candidates conducting innovative cancer research throughout the university. Jonathan Licht, M.D., director of the UF Health Cancer Center, presided over the event and encouraged attendees to seek out new potential collaborators throughout the evening, as those relationships will lead to important findings that impact patient health, new publications and new funding.
