Day of fun for humans, critters

The annual open house at the UF College of Veterinary Medicine always draws an enthusiastic crowd of animal aficionados, and this year was no different. Community members of all ages flocked to the college in late April to enjoy the numerous demonstrations, tours and hands-on exhibits focused on how the students, faculty and staff team up to make our furry, scaly and feathered friends feel better.
1 One popular demonstration showed that UF students treat animals of all sizes.
2 Inquisitive visitors learned all about animals, from the inside out.
3 An inflatable pooch towered above a real-life pet to welcome guests to the event.
4 A possible future veterinarian learned proper suturing techniques using a stuffed animal.
