Get ready to get your football on
The second annual UF Health Celebrity Gridiron Challenge flag-football tournament to benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital will take place Saturday, April 21 at Westwood Middle School, 3215 NW 15th Ave., Gainesville.
For a $100 registration fee, teams can play as either competitive in a bracket-style format or noncompetitive. Anyone interested is welcome to join a team, including family and friends. Along with the all-ages tournament, the event will feature food trucks, tailgate games and appearances by local celebrities.
Departments can sponsor a team and interested persons can donate to a team or participant online or by check. Event organizers also are looking to fill several volunteer positions.
