Golf tournament to support teen anti-bullying effort
The 15th annual golf tournament to benefit the UF Health PALS THRIVE Program will be held May 3 at the
Haile Plantation Golf & Country Club.
Partners in Adolescent Lifestyle Suppor t, or PALS, THRIVE is a suicide/violence prevention and anti-bullying
program created in 2000 in response to the Columbine High School shootings. Graduate students in psychology
and counseling, supervised by licensed professionals, provide free mental health services, leadership and

UF College of Nursing joins program to help nurses earn doctorates
The UF College of Nursing has been awarded a grant from Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to help increase the number of nurses holding doctorates.
The Future of Nursing Scholars program provides financial support, mentoring, and leadership development to nurses who commit to earning their Ph.D. in three years.
Two selected nursing students will attend a boot camp with the program this summer and begin their Ph.D. studies in the fall.
Go green at Wilmot Gardens’ annual plant sale
Wilmot Gardens’ third annual Spring Plant Sale will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, April 20 and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at the Wilmot Gardens Greenhouse, 1427 Gale Lemerand Drive, Gainesville.
