Anna Michelle Brandt named VP/chief of hospital staff – By Kim Rose
Anna Michelle Brandt has been promoted to vice president and chief of hospital staff for UF Health Shands. Brandt, who has served as associate vice president of Operations since June 2011, will maintain operational oversight for several hospital departments and services. She will work with physician and nursing leadership to help ensure that staffi ng and the environment of care continue to support the best possible quality clinical outcomes and patient experience. She will provide executive oversight for a variety of hospital system initiatives and committees requiring teamwork across the organization. Additionally, she will
continue as key liaison and executive leader to help guide external relationships and activities throughout the region.
Jenkins named UF Health senior vice president and general counsel – By Melanie Fridl Ross
Randall C. Jenkins, Esq., has been named UF Health senior vice president and general counsel, responsible for all legal aff airs for the academic health center’s hospital systems in Gainesville and Jacksonville. He will continue to oversee the UF Healthcare Education Insurance Company and UF Self-Insurance Program. Jenkins has performed a variety of medical-legal roles for UF Health, ranging from handling medical malpractice lawsuits and licensure complaints to improving
patient safety through teaching and loss prevention initiatives that have often received national and international peer review recognition.
