A New View on Burn Care

UF Health hosted an open house recently for the newly renovated Unit 2425 for patients requiring care for burn injuries, severe skin disorders, specialized treatment after reconstructive surgery and difficult or chronic wounds. The 34,000-square-foot unit, designed with input from numerous care teams, has 27 rooms — up from eight — including space for bariatric patients, four hydrotherapy beds and respiratory therapy areas. Work on the $30 million project began in March 2018.
