Ten years ago this month, UF Health Shands Hospital opened its Level 1 trauma center, a unit staffed with the experts and equipment needed to take care of patients with the most deadly and devastating injuries. Now, more than 24,000 patients later, we’re celebrating some of the lives that have been saved as a result of this care.
