All about benefits

Mark your calendars. Shands will hold a series of forums in September to prepare employees for benefits enrollment. Facilitators at these events will provide an update about GatorCare and how it affects employees, as well as discuss changes to Shands’ benefits packages. University of Florida Health Science Center staff members may participate in special forums tagged “UF&Shands Employee Forums,” during which topics such as teamwork and integration will be discussed. Timothy Flynn, M.D., the senior associate dean for clinical affairs in the UF College of Medicine and Shands chief medical officer, and Ed Jimenez, Shands at UF senior vice president and chief operating officer, will co-host the special forums, including one for UF College of Medicine residents to encourage open communication.
