UF researchers chosen as fellows

Two researchers from the UF Health Science Center are among the 98 people nationwide to have been named charter fellows of the National Academy of Inventors. The researchers are Donn Dennis, M.D., a professor in the departments of anesthesiology, psychiatry and pharmacology; and Ray Bergeron, Ph.D., a distinguished professor emeritus of medicinal chemistry. A professor from the department of materials science and engineering and another from the UF Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences were also named fellows. The charter fellows will be formally inducted Feb. 22 during the academy’s annual conference in Tampa.
