Training in progress
If you provide care to patients or support patient care efforts in any capacity at UF Health, you will soon be hearing more about a new set of standards geared toward improving each patient’s experience at UF Health hospitals and practices. UF Health’s new Hospitality and Service Standards include four categories: hospitality; teamwork; communication; and professionalism and responsibility. They cover specific behaviors, including tips on making a positive first impression, proper etiquette in shared spaces such as hallways and elevators, constructive communication and ways to support teammates. Senior and mid-level leaders are now attending UF Health Hospitality and Service training. This fall, all faculty and staff who provide clinical care or nonclinical support for UF Health Shands Hospital and UF Health Physicians’ clinical and core programs will be asked to register for training. Stay tuned for an email invitation and information from your department leader.
